Our Story

Erin and Chelsea met in 2005 as two-bright-eyed young women in their early 20s. Although, each has gone through their own spiritual awakenings and transitions states away from each other. They always kept in touch, realizing that much of their individual spiritual journeys were similar to one another.

Their friendship truly evolved into Anam Cara, a Celtic word for Spiritual Friend. This connection to one another made each realize the connection between the Sacred Being that each one of us shares both individually and collectively.

Contemplative Motherhood was born out of a concept of finding this unity and connection with the Divine all at the same time as trying to keep sane while raising children. This might sound silly but Erin and Chelsea have realized that finding their anchor into the Eternal One is much harder when your days are full of activities, chores, work, and meeting your children’s needs. So where do you turn?

They hope that Contemplative Motherhood becomes a resource to give you the encouragement, advice, wonderings, or whatever you need to find your connection with Mystery.

We are on this wondering journey together in the great vastness of space and time all grounded by a Presence that continues to beckon us home.

"In the Anam Cara friendship, you were joined in an ancient way with the friend of your soul. This was a bond that neither space nor time could damage. The friendship awakened an eternal echo in the hearts of the friends; they entered into a circle of intimate belonging with each other."
